I am a first-year undergraduate at the London School of Economics, studying International Relations and History. I have been tutoring since summer 2024, with experience teaching A-Level History, GCSE History, Biology, Maths, English, and 11+.
My tutoring journey began with a Language school, where I received rigorous training under my employer. She required me to submit lesson plans, record lessons for review, and consistently act on constructive feedback. This training helped shape my teaching approach into one that is both encouraging and empathetic, ensuring I tailor lessons to each student’s needs.
A key strength of mine is helping students develop strong arguments, particularly in essay-based subjects like History and English. I take pride in adapting to different learning styles and making complex concepts more accessible. My extensive collection of high-quality notes from my own GCSE and A-Level studies further supports my teaching.
My students have achieved top grades, with notable success stories including:
• Raising a student’s predicted A-Level History coursework grade from 50% to 90%.
• Helping an 11+ student improve from 40% to 77%, securing an unconditional offer to Uppingham School.
I am committed to helping students unlock their full potential through structured yet flexible teaching, ensuring they gain both knowledge and confidence in their abilities.
