My international background deeply shapes how I teach. I studied languages at universities in three different countries: the Università degli Studi di Verona in Italy, the Université Jean Moulin in France, and the University of Oxford in the UK, where I completed my PGCE (teacher training). Having lived in five countries—France, the UK, Spain, Mexico, and Italy—I bring a truly global perspective to my lessons, which is incredibly valuable for students tackling international curricula like the IB and IGCSE. Furthermore, my experience working in top independent schools in the UK means I know exactly how to stretch and challenge students. I am highly experienced in pushing learners to achieve their absolute best, whether they are aiming for Oxbridge entries or top international universities.
About me
Introduction
As a language learner myself, I know exactly how scary it feels to speak a foreign language. I have learned English, Spanish, and Italian, and I am currently learning Portuguese. Languages completely changed my life, allowing me to travel and live in countries I never imagined visiting when I was a student. You never know where life will take you, and languages are the best way to open up the world!
Because of my own journey, my lessons focus on three things: culture, grammar, and humour. I teach you the important grammar rules, but I also bring in real-life culture and lots of fun. I love using humour because we remember things much better when we laugh and feel relaxed. It takes away the stress and makes it safe to make mistakes.
I once had a student who was too terrified to speak before moving abroad. By using funny role-plays of everyday situations, his stress disappeared, and he was soon confidently joking with locals!
