James is a Final-Year undergraduate student at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, studying for an MA (Cantab) in Economics. Throughout his time at Cambridge he has excelled academically, earning an Academic Scholarship and ranking 4th in the cohort in the advanced Econometrics Module.
He possesses extensive tutoring experience, having worked with multiple UK and international agencies, while also successfully managing his own independent tutoring business alongside his undergraduate studies. His tutoring accolades include a 100% success rate in applications to Cambridge Economics, shortlisted and winning essays in the John Locke, Marshall Society, and RES essay competitions, and 30+ repeat clients with 250+ bookings across his portfolio.
Before coming up to Cambridge, James grew up in London and attended St Paul's School, ranked 1st in the UK. He earned 4 A*s at A-level and EPQ and 11x Grade 9s at GCSE. He earned 5 academic scholarships and was an academic prefect.
Outside of academics, James has competed in international level sport (rowing), and won the Oxford-Cambridge Varsity Boat Race. After Cambridge, he has accepted an offer to work in Strategy Consulting at BCG in London, where he will begin in 2026.
