Hello, I am a philosophy PhD student at the University of Oxford. My teaching experience comes from tutoring undergraduates at Oxford in various philosophical topics. I have tutored over 15 students who have written essays worthy of a high 2.i degree. I addition to this, I have also prepared students for their Oxbridge admissions interviews, and mentored students writing their UCAS personal statements.

I base my teaching style on the Oxbridge tutorial system. In my lessons I seek to foster a genuine interest in the subject on the student's part, and to develop the student's academic confidence by getting them to think about the subject on their own terms.

My specialism is ancient philosophy, but I am also versed in 20th century German philosophy and basic problems in analytic philosophy. I am able to offer tuition in the subject at all levels, as well as tuition in the more philosophical aspects of politics. With a background in Classics, I also have an in-depth understanding of the Latin and Ancient Greek languages, and can teach them both to begginer and advanced students. In addition to this, I can also offer Oxbridge admissions interview preparation/UCAS personal statement advice.
