Teaching Philosophy:
'The teacher of geography who truncates the curiosity of the student in the name of the efficiency of mechanical memorization hampers both the freedom and the capacity for the adventure of the student. There is no education here. Only domestication.'
- Paulo Freire (1998), Pedagogy of Freedom: Ethics, Democracy, and Civic Courage, p. 57.
A healthy sense of inquiry and curiosity is key to teaching and learning Geography. I am interested in helping students think and make convincing arguments like a geographer. For EAL learners, I hope to gain experience by incorporating CLIL elements in my material.
