About me

Introduction

Interactive teaching style Patient PhD Top university graduate

I'm a PhD student researching in comparative education and digital engagement at UCL. Previously, I have completed both my BA and MA at UCL with first class honours. Before I moved to the UK, I acquired my International Baccalaureate Certificate in New Zealand, with a score of 36 (6,6,7 in higher level subjects and full-points in TOK and EE). I have been tutoring since 2018, and have extensive teaching experience. I'm also a postgraduate teaching assistant at UCL, tutoring seminars and providing feedbacks to undergraduate students.

Apart from my academic background, I also have extensive working experience. During my internship with the United Nations Department of Global Communication, I edited and published Teaching Guides, which are now published on the official UN websites, facilitating schools and teachers in teaching Sustainable Development Goals. As a member of the British Accreditation Council's Accreditation Committee, I analysed inspection reports from global educational institutions and collaborated with committee members to ensure the quality of education and student learning experiences. My teaching experience at the London Mandarin School involved designing and implementing language classes for elementary students, which developed my skills in preparing practical exercises and tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

These positions required effective communication, coordination, and the ability to engage and motivate students, all of which are essential for supporting students' learning journeys and helping them to reach their potentials.
