What is SAT?
SAT is a paper-pencil test created and administered by the College Board.
This entrance exam is widely used for Undergrad College Admissions in the United States and other top colleges in other countries and in India.
Why SAT?
- It is universally accepted.
- Scholarship is guaranteed for high scorers.
- To compensate for lower GPA scores.
What is DSAT?
In January 2022, the College Board announced a major update to the SAT exam - the test is going digital. This means that instead of filling in bubbles on a paper answer sheet, students will take the test on a laptop or tablet at a testing center under the supervision of a test proctor.
The new digital SAT test will be shorter, with only two hours allotted for completion and fewer questions than the traditional paper and pencil version. This will allow students more time to spend on each individual question.
Perhaps the most significant change is that the digital SAT test will be computer adaptive. This means that the difficulty of the questions will vary based on the student's performance in the preceding section. If a student does well in the first section, the second section will be more challenging, and vice versa if they struggle in the first section.
Should you Take the ACT or the Digital SAT?
Deciding whether to take the ACT or the digital SAT depends on many factors. Students worldwide opt for either the Digital SAT or the ACT based on which test suits them better. Both tests have their competitive aspects, and it's feasible to prepare for either within a given timeframe. However, when choosing between the two, the most effective way is to take a full-length timed practice test for each. Factors such as time constraints and challenging question types can aid in determining the ideal option.

What makes DSAT better?
The Digital SAT provides students with a shorter, smoother, and more efficient test-taking experience. To ensure a seamless experience, the College Board has incorporated numerous test-taking tools, such as a built-in graphing calculator for the Mathematics section, an on-screen test timer to keep track of remaining time, the ability to mark questions for review within a given test module, and the option to annotate questions and leave notes. Additionally, the Mathematics section provides a reference sheet of common formulas. Moreover, the digital SAT has increased test-taking frequency to seven times a year, and students can now receive their SAT results within days.
How is the Digital SAT Scored?
The super score for the SAT is 1600. It has two sections : the Reading and Writing and the Math Section, each of which is scored out of 800.
