I am an experienced classroom practitioner and have worked as a teacher of History and Politics in leading UK Independent Schools (Leighton Park, St Edward's Oxford & Cokethorpe School) for seven years and have held various middle management roles including Head of History & Politics and Head of Middle School. I have taught a wide range of History & Politics qualifications including A Level, IB and IGCSE. I have a strong track record of achieving excellent results and pupils going on to study at leading institutions across the world. My IGCSE results have been particularly strong with pupils achieving results beyond expectations and suggested initial outcomes for example one student went from a grade 6 to a grade 9. I pride myself on getting the best out of the pupils I teach, particularly when it comes to effective revision. I have recently completed an MSt in History at the University of Cambridge alongside full-time employment. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the world both close to home and further afield, reading and being part of a pub quiz team.
