About me
Introduction
I am a graduate of English Literature at the University of Cambridge, and have over five years teaching experience, both in the classroom and privately; I also have experience in creating online courses and other ancillary educational materials.
I have helped students:
1) Prepare for exams, most commonly IB/IGCSE/ A-levels. My academic speciality (Shakespeare) has helped with this significantly, since Shakespeare tends to be one of the prime pain-points.
2) Improve their general (written) English – such students mostly being pre-GCSE and for whom I have formulated an adaptable and practical ‘curriculum’, which gradually introduces various techniques and principles via creative/ persuasive writing.
3) Apply to universities (particularly Oxbridge) and schools.
4) Learn English as a foreign language (from intermediate upwards). I have a passion for grammar/syntax so find these students particularly fun to teach.
