I arrived in the UK in 2008 to pursue my MA in Film Editing at the esteemed National Film and Television School. Since graduating, I've established my career as a film editor, primarily based in London. Over the years, I've had the privilege of being invited as a visiting lecturer to both the National Film and Television School and Leeds Beckett University, specialising in Film Editing.
Last year, I had the gratifying experience of overseeing the graduation films of several students at NFTS. Witnessing their achievements was truly rewarding. I have a passion for guiding students individually, recognising and nurturing their unique talents and strengths.
My professional journey has revolved around the world of film and television, but fundamentally it is about storytelling. Originating from my background in screenwriting in Taiwan, I transitioned into a successful career in documentary filmmaking, serving as both a director and a producer. Prior to embarking on my studies in Film Editing, I produced several series of prime time drama that garnered numerous awards in Taiwan. During my tenure creating documentaries for Taiwanese TV stations, I led a team of 25 filmmakers. Being a team leader resonates with my role as a tutor—I find immense satisfaction in guiding and supporting others toward success.
