I am a PhD student at the University of Oxford, working in the field of computational auditory neuroscience harnessing the potential of computational modelling to improve our understanding of the brain’s responses to natural sounds. I attended Imperial College London, studying Biomedical Engineering at undergraduate level, where I graduated with First Class Honours and developed a strong interest in Neuroscience. I then moved to Oxford for my MSc in Neuroscience, from which I graduated with Merit, and started my PhD in October 2022.

I have been tutoring (online and in person) since October 2019: I am specialised in Maths (any level up to A-level), Biology and Physics (GCSE level), Science (general teaching up to before GCSE level), and Italian (any level). I have also successfully tutored applicants to Oxford, Imperial, and other institutions, assisting with Personal Statement and CV reviews as well as interview prep in certain cases (neuroscience-related applications). For Oxford applications in particular, I can leverage my very recent personal experience of applying to Oxford degrees (twice between 2021 and 2022).

I like to leave a lot of freedom to my students to explore topics and questions that interest them, even beyond the scope of their respective curricula, as I believe in letting passion for science and maths flourish as something that is greatly beneficial in the long run. However, I can also tutor in a much more structured manner when that is required, for example in the lead up to an exam or when a student is struggling with a certain subject. My lessons are always friendly and easy-going – in my experience, a supportive and calm learning environment makes a huge difference in how a student approaches a given subject, and in turn in how passionate they could become about it.
