I obtained my degrees (BS & MS) from the North Carolina State majoring in Biochemistry and Pharmacology and completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from Harvard Derek Bok Graduate School of Education (HGSE) in Harvard, Massachusetts. I continued with a PGCE and Master's degree in Education, both from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom specialising in neurochemistry with special interest in student's motivation and behavioural patterns. I am currently a PhD researcher in Sustainability & Green Chemistry.
Currently holding professional memberships from the American Board of Chemical Society (ACS), Royal Australian Chemical Institute (MRACI) and the Royal Society of Chemistry of United Kingdom (MRSC). I am also a licensed public examiner for A-level Chemistry accredited by the Cambridge Assessment International Education Board (CAIE). I believe in continuous education as I continue to seek postgrad qualifications in my area of interests especially in global climatic change and epidemiology.
I am an experienced and passionate educator with more than 18 years of impeccable track records in teaching and mentoring advanced Chemistry students and have seen many of them gaining placements into Oxbridge, Russell Group of Universities in the UK and major Ivy League universities. I have also presented and published my Chemistry research papers in conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed journals, and speak at international education conferences in Munich (Germany), Brisbane (Queensland), and the University of Cambridge in the UK. I was recently elected as one of the session chairs for the 15th Asian Education Conference held in Tokyo, Japan. Meanwhile, I am also currently working for the Oxford Publishing Board to co-author examination questions primarily used in the British AQA A-level Chemistry syllabus. I am also a writer for ICQ (International Chemistry Quiz) chaperoned by RACI (Royal Australian Chemical Institute) where I co-produce and review high-quality chemistry questions for the Australian Year 12 curriculum.
