I have had a lifetime passion for education and inspiring students from all backgrounds to reach their full potential, both in terms of academic results and a values-driven approach to establishing their future careers. I have multiple years of experience with Oxbridge admissions, educational consultancy, and private History tutoring, particularly in the last five years where I've worked extensively with students from Wycombe Abbey, Tonbridge, Westminster, St Paul's, Sherborne, UCS, Rugby etc. as well as international students from Phillips Academy Exeter. My Oxbridge entrance success rate for students that I have delivered more than 10 hours of lessons to is currently 95%.
My main interests lie in History and Politics, having studied these subjects to PhD level at Oxford and Cambridge, and I also enjoy playing music professionally in London. I have worked as a full-time tutor, teacher, educational content creator, and educational consultant for more than ten years, with strong experience in teaching 12-18 year olds from across the English-speaking world. Before embarking on my professional career, I studied BA History at the University of Oxford and achieved a Double First, before reading an MPhil in American History at the University of Cambridge and receiving a Merit. I have just started my DPhil in History at the University of Oxford and intend to pursue a career as an academic.
I strongly believe in a personalised and holistic approach to teaching, focusing on working with students to enjoy their subjects outside of the classroom. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as I aim to foster a genuine interest in humanities and culture that will last for a lifetime.
