I hold a BA in Philosophy from King’s College London and an MA in Newspaper Journalism from City, University of London. After working as a news reporter in the UK, I transitioned into documentary filmmaking, using my journalistic skills to explore real-world stories through a creative lens. To deepen my practice, I completed an MA in Ethnographic and Documentary Filmmaking at University College London, where I directed three docufiction films.
My approach to filmmaking is experimental, aiming to capture the essence of the contributor’s voice while crafting narratives that emotionally resonate with audiences. I encourage students to think beyond traditional documentary forms, blending observational techniques with innovative storytelling. My teaching style is relaxed yet proactive, pushing students to challenge conventions and create films that are both meaningful and visually compelling.
