Zilun L.

Hi, my name is Zilun. I am Chinese thought I spent a good part of my life in Portugal.
I studied PPE at Oxford University, where I specialised in Economics and Politics. I graduated third in my class, topping my year in politics and received a prize for my dissertation. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Economics for Development at Oxford as well.

I am big believer in first principles teaching. I like to lay down the intuition behind the topic and go through its key principles. I also enjoy motivating what we are studying with applications and historical background. I couple all of this with a strong emphasis on student-centred learning, providing plenty of examples to visualise difficult topics and encouraging the student to apply what they have learnt in class.

I have experience working with students preparing for Oxbridge, especially in terms of interviews and insights. I also have extensive experience helping with personal statements and university choices.
