Main distinctions between the GMAT and the GRE are:

Test fees: The GRE costs Rupees 22,550 in India and $220 in other countries, with the exception of China, where it costs $231. The GMAT costs $275.

Test Length: The GMAT lasts for two hours and fifteen minutes (with an optional ten-minute break), whereas the GRE lasts for one hour and fifty-eight minutes (plus no planned breaks).

Test Design: The GMAT is intended to assess skills related to business and management studies, whereas the GRE is a more comprehensive test covering a broader range of subjects.

The GRE is assessed on a scale of 130-170 for both the verbal and quantitative parts, with an additional score for analytical writing. The GMAT Focus Edition is scored on a scale of 205-805. Thus, the GRE total score would fall between 260 and 340.
