Joe Hazzam is a Lecturer in Digital Marketing at Staffordshire University, United Kingdom, where he acts as course leader of the BA digital and social media programme. He also delivers workshops and masterclasses on social media and digital marketing strategies to SMEs and entrepreneurs. He received his PhD from The British University in Dubai. He has published in journals such as Journal of Strategic Marketing and Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Young Consumers, among others. His research interests include digital marketing capabilities, social media, and online customer and student engagement.
Joe’s academic teaching and research interests are augmented by seventeen years of practical marketing experience, focusing on strategic and digital marketing. He holds various professional associations and accreditations such as membership of the American Marketing Association, Certified Practising Marketer of the Australian Marketing Institute, and Professional Certified Marketer of the American Marketing Association.
