About me
Introduction
I graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge with a degree in Chinese Studies (AMES faculty) and I’m a British-American dual citizen with personal experience studying in different countries and education systems. I am part Turkish and moved to the UK aged 8.
I have a particular interest in working with Chinese students, helping them adapt to the UK both academically and pastorally. I speak fluent Mandarin and studied at China’s top university Peking University so have personal experience of both the British and Chinese education system.
My students have gone on to study at Oxbridge and top schools in the UK and US.
My tutoring journey began when I was still a student myself, helping younger years at City of London School for Girls with their study, organisational skills, and confidence. I also tutor English Literature and Drama, and draw on my own professional experience as a working actor and writer published in the Financial Times among other publications.
I have a passion for learning and believe in tailoring my lessons to the personality and needs of every student to make learning as interactive and impactful as possible.
