Introduction

Fun teaching style

I am currently pursuing a PhD at Loughborough University, with a focus on sport management, policy, and governance. My academic journey has equipped me with a diverse and interdisciplinary foundation. I hold two master’s degrees, the first in Physical Education and the second in Sport Management, Politics, and International Development from Loughborough University. Additionally, my undergraduate degree in Physical Education further solidifies my expertise in sport sciences and education.

Throughout my academic career, I have consistently demonstrated a passion for teaching and mentoring. My teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering critical thinking, active engagement, and practical application. I blend theoretical knowledge with real-world examples to make complex concepts accessible and relevant to my students. I also employ interactive teaching techniques, including case studies, group discussions, and problem-based learning, to enhance engagement and deepen understanding.

One of my key strengths is my ability to deliver interdisciplinary content. My background enables me to teach across several domains, including sport management, governance, physical education, and policy analysis. I have a deep understanding of governance networks, stakeholder management, and policy dynamics, which I incorporate into my teaching to provide students with a comprehensive perspective. Additionally, I excel in adapting my teaching methods to suit diverse student needs, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in learning.

During my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of witnessing students achieve significant milestones. For instance, one of my students who initially struggled with understanding governance frameworks later excelled in developing a comprehensive analysis of a sports governance case study after personalised guidance and targeted resources. Seeing students gain confidence and expertise in challenging areas is a testament to the effectiveness of my teaching approach.

Beyond academics, my experience as a researcher allows me to bring fresh insights and the latest developments into the classroom. My PhD research on governance networks in youth football in China has not only expanded my expertise but also sharpened my ability to synthesise and present complex information in an engaging manner. I strive to inspire my students by connecting academic theories with pressing global issues, making learning both impactful and relevant.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have been got the scholarship by Chinese Schilarship Council for my PhD project. I am confident that my strong academic background, innovative teaching methods, and genuine enthusiasm for student success make me a valuable asset in delivering high-quality education across my chosen subjects.
