My name is Hing Hill and I came from China to live in England in 1991.

In 1987 I completed BA History and Politics at Guang Zhou Teachers University in China. This qualified me to work as a History and Politics teacher in Secondary school and University.
In 2005 I completed a certificate in Further Education Teaching (City + Guilds 7407-01) in U.K. This qualified me to work as a Chinese teacher at Adult College setting in U.K.

For over three years I worked for the Redbridge Chinese Association, Newham Chinese Association and Waltham Forest Chinese Association who approached me to teach British born Chinese their native language. I have also worked for the Redbridge Institute of Adult Education for one year, Leytonstone Adult Education for one year and London Borough of Havering College of Education for four years. I was responsible for planning and structuring my lessons, so that my adult students could advance in easy stages.

I have been teaching Cantonese and Mandarin for four years at Cactus Language School in London.

In addition I currently give private lessons to both adults and the children of some of my ex college students, who have expressed a wish to progress to a higher level.


Overall, I have twenty Eight years experience of teaching and training using a broadly communicative/task based approach. I aim to work effectively and provide a professional service to all my students. I have excellent communication and people skills and am friendly and approachable.

I speak both Mandarin and Cantonese and I am sure I will be a great asset to your company if provided with the opportunity to act as one of your contractors.
