Ivan Z.

Ivan is a highly experienced science tutor with a background in full-time teaching in Hong Kong. He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2014 with an MSci in Natural Sciences, specialising in chemistry and chemical biology.  

Ivan takes a holistic approach to teaching, encouraging students to connect concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics. By focusing on deep understanding and application in unfamiliar contexts, he helps students develop the analytical skills sought by top universities; regardless of the subject they decide to study.

He has extensive experience preparing students for the 11+, 13+, 13+ CASE, and 16+ entrance and scholarship exams in science and mathematics, with a strong track record of success at schools including Wycombe Abbey, Eton (King’s Scholarship Award), The King’s School Canterbury, Sevenoaks, Dulwich College, and Whitgift School.
 
Ivan has supported many students with Oxbridge and Russell Group university applications, including personal statement reviews and editing, entrance exam preparation (e.g., NSAA / ESAT for Cambridge University) and interview preparation (biology and chemistry focus), developing an extensive set of interview questions.
