I was a graduate mathematician from Christ's College, University of Cambridge, and am currently tutoring full-time. I have a love of learning maths (which I'm sure you guessed) but also a love of teaching and seeing the fruits of showing others what joy there is to be found in maths, how even if they hate it now, there will be something in it they can enjoy. I’ve seen how many people have been wronged by maths, and maths teachers, and hope to not make the same mistakes they did. The one thing I value most for every student, is a focus on personal growth over grades; limiting oneself to “getting an A*” leads to putting memorising facts above fundamental understanding, and every student, in my opinion, is better off aiming for the best they can, rather than any specific level.
