I studied Maths (A*) Biology (A*) Chemistry (A*) and Physics (A) at A level, and achieved a 2:1 in my MSci Neuroscience at University College London (UCL).
I had a particular focus on MRI studies, which meant that my degree used and developed my knowledge in all four of my A level subjects (sciences and maths). As part of a research program over multiple summers, I was named as contributing author on a paper published by Stanford University's Department of Radiology. I also studied several Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience modules during my time at UCL.
With my focus on science, I like to break concepts down and understand them at a first principles level, and I am naturally inquisitive. I believe strongly that people learn as they are helped to work things out for themselves, and by repeatedly applying that knowledge so it enters into their long term memory.
In my time working as a church pastor, I have 10 years' experience of teaching in a group and individual basis, which has taught me how to listen to people, gauge where they are in their understanding, and determine how to help them make steps towards progressing to where they need to be.
